CPHS is entirely member-supported. Our operating budget comes directly from membership dues. Your contributions allow us to offer a year-round schedule of local history programming; to carry out long-term projects; to maintain this site and publish a printed newsletter and e-news; and to be on call to help homeowners and architects with the historic preservation review process. The more you give, the more we can do.


Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Cleveland Park’s past and future. Members receive our printed newsletter twice a year, free or discounted admission to all our programs, and access to members-only field trips and events. Members are invited to join the CPHS member listserv. For more information on the listserv, click here.

The basic membership rate is $50 for single-family households, or $35 for those who live in apartments. We welcome higher contributions at the $100, $250, or $500 level, or as much as you feel able to give. ** Beginning in fall 2017, we are introducing a new option: $10/month or $25/month monthly sponsorship, for continuous membership with no annoying renewal reminders from us. **

** For a limited time, while supplies last, when you join or renew at the $250/year or $25/month level, we will send you a copy your choice of Cleveland Park: A Guide to Architectural Styles and Building Types or a facsimile of a 1904 real estate brochure for Cleveland Park. Email us after you submit or mail in your membership and we’ll send you your thank-you gift. **

Memberships (other than monthly sponsorships) are for the calendar year (January 1-December 31). If you join or renew in the fall, your membership takes effect immediately and is good through the following calendar year.

All membership levels include membership for everyone who lives in the same household.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

If you are unsure of the status of your membership, email us and we will check for you. We’re happy to check!

Our online system allows you to pay with a credit card or PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account except for monthly, recurring-payment memberships. Just choose “PayPal or Secure Credit Card Payment” as your payment method. Don’t be scared off by PayPal! The system also allows you to renew and then send in an offline payment by check.
