Adapting Older Houses for Accessibility and Aging in Place: Interiors

In collaboration with the Cleveland & Woodley Park Village, CPHS presents the first of a series of programs on adapting older and historic houses for accessibility as we age.

Join us at 10 am on Tuesday, March 6th to visit a CPHS member’s house to see accessibility modifications and discuss possibilities for interior modifications in older houses. Light refreshments will be served. We will email you with the event address after you register. The home is in the western part of Cleveland Park. Street parking is readily available and the home is fully wheelchair-accessible.

If the weather is nice, after the indoor discussion and refreshments, CPHS Executive Director Carin Ruff will lead a short walking tour of nearby houses (within a block, on level ground) to see exterior modifications for accessibility that have been approved since the Cleveland Park Historic District was created.

Register using the form below. If you have any trouble with the form, you can register at at the Eventbrite page for this eventThe event is free but registration is limited to 15 participants because of space considerations. We will keep a waiting list, so do add your name if you find the event is already full. We plan to repeat this program in the future if there is sufficient interest.

☞ NB: This first event is for current members of CPHS and the Village only. Subsequent events will be open to the public. Everyone is welcome to join CPHS! Join or renew online or download a membership form here. For information about joining the Village, click here.
