The Historical Society of Washington, DC offers a day of exploration and learning at their Kiplinger Research Library for DC public and charter school third-graders. Third Grade Historians, whose Social Studies curriculum includes the Geography and History of the District of Columbia, divide into teams and rotate through activities designed to introduce the them to the handling of archival materials, research, and the interpretation of historical sources.

It costs $500 to sponsor a third-grade class’s visit to the Historical Society, which covers HSW’s staff time and materials. With your help, CPHS would like to sponsor the John Eaton third grade’s History Day experience at HSW.

Choose a sponsorship level from the dropdown menu and then click the “add to cart” button. You can pay securely with a credit card; no PayPal account is required.
